The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Universityof Maryland School of Medicine (Baltimore, MD) invites applicationsfor a full-time faculty position in child and adolescent mentalhealth at the level of Assistant Professor, starting in Summer2021.The selected candidate will be expected to work with currentfaculty and a multidisciplinary team to advance skills in research,training, policy, and practice related to child and adolescentmental health services, with an emphasis on school-based services.The position will support the work of the National Center forSchool Mental Health ( http://www.schoolmentalhealth.org/) and will be supported initially by federal and state grants andcontracts, including two grants focused on building school,district and state capacity for high quality, trauma-responsiveComprehensive School Mental Health Systems, with the expectationthat the new faculty member move towards independent funding infuture years . In addition to collaborating on school mental healthresearch and policy activities, the new position may include theopportunity for clinical practice in schools, depending oncandidates’ interests and experience.
