The Test cricket included the high of India’s historic wins over Australia in the four-Test series opener at Adelaide. There is over a 20% difference between the sports genre most-watched show for the week (24,33,000 impressions for the Patna Pirates-Telugu Titans PKL match on Star Sports First) and the No. 5  (18,73,000 peak impressions on live broadcast of the Australia-India Test cricket on Sony Ten 3). This coupled with a relatively better performance by cricket helped Sony Ten 3 and Sony Six jump into the top two slots respectively in the most watched sports channels list. Star Sports First and Star Sports 1 Hindi are in the next two positions, followed by the Sony Ten 1.Sony Six made major gains to jump from the fifth to the second position, while Star Sports First slumped to No. 3 from the No. 1.Cricket in the number one positon has also contributed towards overall sports genre ratings. All the top four most channels have gained in eyeballs over the previous week for each of their position.The intriguing and intense competition between Australia-India live cricket and the Pro Kabaddi League broadcast is going to grow from here. The upcoming week will have the ratings data for the last four days of the Perth Test, which ended in a defeat for India, and the PKL live action.
