first_imgCRUEL thieves have stolen flowers left at the graves of loved ones on St Valentine’s Day.The incidents happened at the weekend at a cemetery in Convoy.Local people say they have been left sickened by the incidents where flowers were stolen from several graves at St Mary’s. “I went to the grave of my deceased partner on Sunday and the flowers I had left there last Thursday were gone,” said one grief-stricken local woman today.“Flowers were also taken from several other graves there.“I just don’t know what sort of mentality thieves like this have; taking flowers which they then presumably gave to someone else.“It won’t bring them any luck; I certainly hope it doesn’t. It is just sickening.” Another local woman also reported flowers being stolen from a grave.“They’re the lowest of the low; that’s all I can say about anyone who would rob a graveyard,” she said.It later emerged that flowers were also taken from a grave which belonged to the grandparents of another local woman. They had been left on the grave around 10am on St Valentine’s Day and were gone by lunchtime.******** Donegaldaily.com – Donegal’s No1 News & Sports Website – more than 30,000 Visitors Every DayFollow the leader on:https://twitter.com/DonegalDailyJUST SICK: THIEVES STEAL VALENTINE’S DAY FLOWERS FROM GRAVE was last modified: February 18th, 2013 by BrendaShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:convoyJUST SICK: THIEVES STEAL VALENTINE’S DAY FLOWERS FROM GRAVElast_img
