first_imgMOTORISTS are being urged to drive carefully overnight as thick fog is affecting many areas of the county.Temperatures have also dropped to between 0C and 4C in many areas, leaving a grass frost.The fog thickened throughout the evening as the heavy rain – which caused flooding in some areas – subsided. The fog will lift by mid-morning and unfortunately more rain is on the way, according to weather forecasters.Increasing cloud will develop after lunch after some morning sunshine in Donegal, then rain spreading rapidly from the south and reaching the county by late afternoon … some heavy downpours, winds gradually increasing from southeast to reach 30-50 mph (local gusts to 65 mph possible near south coast) … highs 11-14 C.
