Sharpshooter involved in four murder cases arrested

first_imgNew Delhi: A 38-year-old sharpshooter who killed a man (murder witness) after throwing chilli powder on his personal security officer (PSO). Apart from this murder, police said that the accused was found involved three more murder cases. He was arrested from South East Delhi.Police identified the accused as Ible Hassan (38 years)-sharpshooter of Abdul Naseer gang- entered the criminal world in the 90s to earn quick money. He was earlier a grocer. Naseer gang was constantly pressuring Zahid to stay away from the case but Zahid was pursuing the case strongly,” said Addl DCP. He further added that Zahid had a threat to his life and was provided PSO by the Delhi Police. Adding further, Kumar Gyanesh said that in the year 2008, in order to take revenge of the murder of his cousin Wakeel Ahmed, Hassan killed one Shameen at Gulaoti in U.P and he remained in jail for three years. In 2014, due to personal enmity accused murdered a person at Okhla. Police said Hassan, a native of Hapur, came to Delhi to look after the grocery shop of his father but fell in bad company. He was arrested for the first time in 1999 in an assault case. Later he joined Abdul Naseer gang. Investigators further added that Hassan was released on bail on June 14, 2019. Due to MCOCA proceedings initiated against the kingpin Abdul Naseer and his gang members by the Crime Branch, they all went underground. In their absence, Hassan was planning to lead the gang and was looking forward to recruiting new persons in the gang. Man shot at by his friend In a suspected case of accidental firing, a 21-year-old man was shot at allegedly by one of his friends on Saturday evening during drinking session in Jahangirpuri area, police said on Sunday. According to police, the victim, Vinay was having drinks with his friends, when one of them fired at him following which, he sustained a gun shot injury in his left shoulder. The victim was rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital by his friends where after giving first aid, he was referred to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital for further treatment, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Vijayanta Arya said.last_img read more
